## About
Retail Slut was founded in 1983 on Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles by Helen O'Neill and printmaker Sarah Whorf. For 20 years (1983–2003) it was the definitive destination for punk, alternative, and subculture fashion in LA — home to leather, BDSM gear, handmade clothing, zines, records, and a community that defined an era. Helen O'Neill, known as "THE ORIGINAL INFLUENCER," was central to the brand's cultural identity. Now relaunching with the same underground spirit: original handmade designs, a printed zine, records, events, and an archive of the original Melrose era.
